The Ranch

Castile Canyon School was located in the foothills of the San Jacinto Mountains, 3 miles east of the City of San Jacinto—40 miles from Palm Springs and Big Bear, and 100 miles south-east of Los Angeles.

It was on 478 acres of land, of which 15 acres comprised the school campus. The campus sported 15 buildings including the School House, Arts Center, Dormitories and Pool House.

The facility has a rich history of educating youth for over 50 years, first by the Catholic Church, then as an all-boys Christian School and then used by the Church of Scientology. The school was closed in 2000 and sold to the Soboba Band of the Luiseno Indians (click here to read History of Castile Canyon School.)
